BIOGRAPHY
BRENDA JEANNETTE
My inspiration to paint comes from my late grandmother, Gladys Savauge, an artist from Seaforth. I took art lessons from her at the age of 13. I relocated to London in 1980 and now, I am married with two sons and three grandsons.
For twenty five years, painting has provided a balance and means of relaxation, while raising a family and working full time in a business management position. I have been retired since 2012 and find I have even more time to paint!
My collection of oil paintings show a broad variety of interests, all with a cutting edge, fresh, colourful and energetic spontaneity that I try to bring to my painting. My artwork is comprised of land and seascapes, to include animal life, barn scenes, boats and golf courses.
My bold application of paint can be seen in the thick impasto, bravura brush strokes and the exciting colours I use to create a variety of images that capture the viewer's attention.
I would really like to paint it all. I am an avid fan of realism-but strive to paint with loose, expressive brush strokes, and use daring, vivid colors to achieve paintings with life and spontaneity.
